1. Roopkund Trek

A high altitude glacial lake perched at an altitude of 16,000ft in Chamoli district of Garhwal Himalayas, Uttarakhand, Roopkund is nestled in the laps of Trishul massif. Roopkund trek comes under the list of one of the most challenging treks in India. It is also called Skeleton lake due to the visibility of skeletons on the banks of the lake. The trek is of moderate difficulty. This beautiful trek starts from Lohajung, and pass through the snow-packed mountains, valleys, and rivers. Bedni Bugyal and Ali Bugyal are two sprawling meadows which are the campsites for Roopkund trek. The trek passes from so many villages with the views of Nanda Ghunti, Chaukhamba, Rudragaira, and Trishul Himalayan peaks.

Har ki Dun Valley Trek

One of the most scenic treks in Uttarakhand. Har ki Dun is a cradled-shaped hanging valley that is perched at an elevation of 3,566m and it is a popular trekking destination among trekkers. The total trek is of 26 km and can be covered in 7-8 days. The amazing trek starts from a village called Taluka and passes through so many tiny hamlets like Gangar, Osla, and Seema. Har ki Dun valley is all surrounded by alpine vegetation and snow-covered peaks. It also offers great views of the mighty mountains, a great variety of flora & fauna, beautiful landscapes, and a lot of adventure. Har ki Dun trek is also a paradise for birdwatchers, as it is nestled in the Govind Ballabh National Park. One can easily spot some beautiful Himalayan birds. The trek also gives an excellent opportunity to explore the villages which come during the trek. The best time to visit the trek is in the months of November and December when the valley gets covered with snow and offers great scenic views.

Rupin Pass Trek

A classic adventure in the Garhwal Himalayas, Rupin Pass is a high altitude trek of about 15,250ft. Rupin Pass trek is one of the difficult yet challenging treks in India. One can experience diversified sceneries and sudden changes in climate attract a lot of tourists every year.  This trek starts from a quaint village Dhaula in Uttarakhand and ends at Sangla valley in Himachal Pradesh. The best time to visit Rupin Pass is May-June, and September- October. You will experience the ever-changing landscapes, beautiful meadows, flora & fauna, and ravishing waterfalls.

Pin Parbati Trek

Pin Parbati is a high altitude mountain pass of 5,319m in Himachal Pradesh. This pass is a corridor between the Parvati valley on the Kullu side and the Pin valley on the Spiti side. Pin Parbati is a popular and challenging trek in India. Highlights of the trek are the abundant beauty of nature with scenic views of mountains, incredible landscapes, lush greenery, dense forests of colorful blossoms of wildflowers, and sceneries. The Pin Parbati is a long trek of more than 100km and can be covered in 12-13 days. This trek all covers the Himalayan National Parks, hot springs, beautiful valley, and gushing rivers.

The best time to do Pin Parbati is from July to August.

Stok Kangri Trek

Sikkim, a place of holy and spiritual surroundings holds the most challenging trek, Stok Kangri. It is the highest trekkable peaks in the world. Stok Kangri is standing tall at an elevation of 20,100ft in the Himalayas. This trek is full of adventure and thrill. You will need to pass by frozen glaciers, a walk on the ridge of mountains, and have to be brave to face sub-zero temperatures. This amazing trek starts from Leh and passes through a lot of tiny Leh & Ladakh villages.

Stok Kangri Peak offers incredible views of the Karakoram range along with the Zanskar River and the Indus Valley. With witnessing the colorful prayer flags, you will experience complete peace at the top of Stok Kangri Peak. The best time to visit is from July to mid-September.
